After two years, I took my first steps into union leadership by becoming a Shop Steward, where I quickly realized my passion for advocating on behalf of my fellow workers. Over the years, I continued to grow within the union, serving as Chief Steward, then joining the Executive Board, and eventually being elected as Vice President of Local 501.
In late 2012, I transferred to MIA, bringing my experience and commitment to Local 568. Six years later, I was honored to be elected President of Local 568, a role that allowed me to take on an even greater responsibility for protecting the rights and interests of our members. During my time in leadership, I have participated in three rounds of contract negotiations, gaining invaluable experience in bargaining and navigating complex issues to secure the best outcomes for our workforce.
Alongside my extensive union work, my educational background has given me a deeper understanding of the challenges we face as workers and the strategies we need to defend our rights effectively.
Currently, I serve as a Crew Chief in Cargo at MIA, and I remain as committed as ever to fighting for the rights, dignity, and well-being of every member of Local 568. With your support, I hope to continue leading our local as your President, ensuring we have a strong union presence in our workplace and securing the best possible future for all of us. Stronger, together.

As a young man, I recognized the importance of the union movement and knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. My union involvement began in 2000 when I became a Shop Steward for Local 568 in MIA. I quickly learned how to work with people, defend our contract, and protect our members from any injustices or wrongdoing the company might try to impose.
Soon after, I took on the role of Chief Steward for Local 568. In 2004, I transferred back to SJU and continued my union journey with Local 501, where I held positions as Shop Steward, Chief Steward, and Section Chairman. During this time, I gained valuable experience with an emphasis on the grievance process. This became the central focus when I was elected First Vice President of Local 568, serving from 2013 to 2016. In this role, I worked extensively with grievances and arbitration, helping members resolve disputes and fighting for affected employees, addressing everything from contractual issues to serious workplace injustices.
Now, 34 years after I first joined American Airlines, I bring a wiser and more mature perspective on our work and union rights. I’m running once again for Vice President with the Unity Slate, committed to restoring respect and ensuring a strong union presence in our workplace. This is essential for our ongoing fight to protect the rights of every union member of Local 568.

My journey with American Airlines began in 2001, and by 2003, I was bumped to working in SJU before moving to FLL in 2005. This was a result of the company restructuring, and it gave me a perspective on the difficulties many of us face. I’ve held various roles that have given me a deep understanding of our challenges, including becoming a Crew Chief in 2011.
Shortly after becoming a Crew Chief, I stepped into union leadership, first as a Shop Steward and then as Chief Steward. These roles have allowed me to defend the rights of my fellow members, ensuring the contract is upheld and that we are treated fairly. I also serve as an instructor Crew Chief, which has allowed me to mentor others and share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years.
Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to standing up for our members and ensuring that everyone has a voice. I believe in fairness, transparency, and keeping our union strong through leadership that truly listens to and represents its members. With your support, I’m ready to bring that same dedication and commitment to the role of 2nd Vice President, working together to protect our rights and move our union forward.

I’ve served as our Local 568 Political Committee Chair for over 7 years, focused on protecting our job rights and interests. In August, I was elected Councilman for Miami-Dade County, making me the first member in the history of Local 568 to hold elected office. I'm proud to be the ONLY union member in the council.
This position allows me to bring a new level of representation and influence for Local 568 members.
My experience also includes serving as Treasurer for the West Dade Labor Council, where I managed our finances with a focus on accountability and transparency. One of my key accomplishments was successfully negotiating with Dade County Aviation officials to remove penalties affecting our members.
I have also represented Local 568 in Washington DC, and Tallahassee, lobbying for legislation that improves our jobs. As Treasurer, I will ensure that our resources are managed effectively with FULL TRANSPARENCY. If you see me on the ramp, stop me and let's talk. I'm always looking for ideas, feedback or issues that we can focus on. Elections are not about "winning" they're about EARNING. Earning trust is what it's all about. I sincerely hope to earn yours. I started my career at the JFK Cargo Facility, where I served as a Cargo Agent before being promoted to Weight and Balance Crew Chief. My next chapter took me to Chicago O'Hare, where I dedicated nine years to the airline, holding roles as a Cargo Crew Chief and Safety Equipment Driver. During this time, I became a key contributor to the De-icing Program and facilitated charter operations for other airlines.
In 2008, I transferred to Miami International Airport, assuming the responsibilities of Weight and Balance Crew Chief and Crew Chief Instructor. My commitment to our workforce led me to become an active participant in TWU Local 568, where I was elected as a Shop Steward and appointed Chief Safety Steward. These roles have granted me the opportunity to engage closely with American Airlines’ Safety Department and Compliance Team, participating in OSHA evaluations and critical meetings with Joint Safety Committee, APC, and MDAD. Through these experiences, I have gained valuable insights into the safety challenges our employees face daily.
As a Union Shop Steward, I advocate fiercely for the rights of our hardworking employees, ensuring their voices are heard in hearings and meetings. In my capacity as Chief Safety Steward, I strive to maintain a safe and enjoyable work environment at Miami International Airport.

EVERY candidate in the Unity Slate has YEARS of experience as a Union representative. Other slates do not. The choice is CLEAR.
This election is crucial. The next group elected will be in office during our contract negotiations. Now is the time to choose a slate with union experience and a unified vision. A slate that LISTENS and COMMUNICATES with their fellow members. A slate that understands we are in this together, and MUST work together.
In the coming weeks, we will be asking 568 members what matters to them and what changes they want to see. We're happy to answer any questions you have. REMEMBER: This is YOUR Slate. YOUR Local. We're here to listen and take action. But we need your support! VOTE UNITY SLATE FOR 568.
